Verlander Wins AL MVP
Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander has won the AL MVP award. Verlander was just the first pitcher since Oakland's Dennis Eckersley in 1992, to win both the Cy young and the MVP. Verlander was the first starting pitcher since Boston's Roger Clemons in 1986. Verlander had a phenomenal year in 2011 and might repeat next year too, but can he? Verlander showed what a true number one starter for team really is. Verlander had statistically had a amazing year, and you might not see a preformance like what Verlander had, in a while. Boston Red Sox's Jacouby Elsburry came in 2nd and Toronto Blue Jays Jose Bautista came in 3rd. Congragulations Justin on winning the AL MVP award.
