So far the Dodgers have won this trade, with A-Gon shooting his first at bat with a home run and Josh Beckett looked sharp his first start as a Dodger too. The Dodgers are now a complete team and look to advance to the playoffs. Maybe even the world series.
Redskins say good bye to Cooley
The Washington Redskins have parted ways with tight end Chris Cooley. After being with the Redksins all 8 seasons of his career, it was time for Cooley to be let go. This is a pretty big loss, but hopefully he'll find a new home soon. Cooley finished with 428 career catches during his time with the Skins and will be a tough loss for the squad.
Redskins sign Cundiff
The Washington Redskins have signed veteran Billy Cundiff after parting ways with Graham Gano earlier. Cundiff will be a huge upgrade over Gano, who missed a season high 10 field goals last season. Cundiff was previously released by the Ravens and it wasn't long before the Redskins signed him. The addition of Cundiff should help the Redskins kicking duty.

Crawford has Tommy John
Boston Red Sox outfielder Carl Crawford will end the 2012 MLB season on a low note with Tommy John surgery. Crawford did a good job when he was in the lineup batting .282 average, 10 doubles, 2 triples, 3 home runs, and 19 RBI in only 31 games. Hopefully he'll be back in uniform with the Red Sox next season.
Colon joins Melky with 50 Game Suspension
Oakland Athletics starting pitcher Bartolo Colon was also caught taking testosterone. Colon joins Giants All Star Melky Cabrera on the 50 game suspension list. This is very shocking and he's one of the arms the A's are reyling on right now. Colon is having a terrific year before his suspension ended his season with a 10-9 record and a 3.43 E.R.A. This could cost the A's season especially since there a huge contender in this wild card AL race.

The Los Angeles Angels have acquired ace Zack Greinke from the Milwakee Brewers for top infield prospect Jean Segura and Double-A right handers Ariel Pena and John Hellweg. Greinke will return to the AL after just being there a couple of years ago with the Royals. Pena and Hellweg are decent minor league pitchers and Segura was rated baseball's 55th best prospect in baseball heading into this season. Segura will help the need of the shortstop position in Milwakee. Greinke will help make the Angels have a better rotation featuring Jered Weaver and C.J. Wilson.
Bulls Add Depth to Bench
The Chicago Bulls have signed guard Nate Robinson. Although Robinson is just 5-9, he's the only player to win 3 slam dunk contests at his size. Robinson was a great scorer a couple years ago, averaging 17.2 points per game. He averaged 11.2 last season with the Warriors and will be the backup point guard behing Kirk Hinrich while Derrick Rose heels.
Pirates acquire Gaby Sanchez
The Pittsburgh Pirates have acquired 1st basmeman Gaby Sanchez from the Miami Marlins for Gorkys Hernandez. Sanchez has been struggling this year which could worry Pirates fans if this was a good trade or not. In this case Pittsburgh sort of needed another bat at the bottom of the lineup for a boost anyways.
Dodgers add another reliever
The Dodgers already added Marlins pitcher Randy Choate early and now have added another good one as well, Brandon League. League was acquired from the Dodgers for good hitting prospect Leon Landry and great minor league reliever Logan Bawcom. Landry's batting .328 and has 15 triples in 376 plate apperances, while Bawcom has a 2.03 E.R.A. in 48 and 2/3 of relief. While these 2 should help the Mariners in the future, League will help the Dodgers in late innings. This trade should help both teams and we will see who'll get the best of it.
Braves acquire Maholm and Johnson
The Atlanta Braves have acquired acquired Cubs starter Paul Maholm and outfielder Reed Johnson for right-hander's Jaye Champon and Arodys Vizcaino. Maholm keeps improving ever since the all-star break was over and Johnson has been a great bench player for the Cubs as well. Vizcanio, a great prospect and Champon could help the Cubs pitching in the future.
