Branyan back in Seattle, Jackson no hits Rays

The Seattle Mariners traded for 1B Russell Branyan for some prospects as he is now back on the team once again since last year. I thought this was an interesting move but the Mariners need a 1B. Also Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Edwin Jackson no hit the Rays. It has been so interesting for the Rays this year since they have been no-hit and Dallas Braden through a perfect game against them too. Also the Marlins fired manager Fredi Gonzalez.

Nava gets big slam

Boston Red Sox Daniel Nava hit a grand slam on his very first MLB pitch as the Sox beat the Phillies 10-2. Nava was an undrafted prospect out of independent school.

Mets first two in triple plays

The Mets were the first team in MLB history to turn a triple play and to get caught into one. They got caught in it against the Padres and turned it against the Nationals. Also Ubaldo Jimenez beat the Blue Jays in only 6 innings because of rain and improved to 12-1 and ERA went higher to 1.16.

Parra inside the park HR, Cubs win by HR style

Geraldo Parra got an inside the park HR after Nate Mclouth got injured on a collision with Jason Heyward. Also the Cubs got a two HR's from Marlon Byrd and Soto and Derek Lee also had a HR as the Cubs beat the Brewers 9-4.

Blackhawks win Stanley Cup

The Chicago Blackhawks ended there 49 year drought by winning the Stanley Cup finally ended after Patrick Kane scored the winning goal in overtime. This is just amazing for the Blackhawks and I am a fan of them but the Flyers trying to make there best in this great series as they were down in the series 2 games - zero and found a way to get back in there but the Hawks giving it there all in game 6. Way to go Hawks.

Strasburg debut

Stephen Strasburg allowed only 2 runs in 7 innings and struck out 14 batters which was one less then the record and got the win as the Nationals won the game.

Jimenez loses longest scoreless streak

Ubaldo Jimenez loses his 33 consecutive innings without a run which was a record for the Rockies allowed a HR to Connor Jackson in the 8th iniing and then allowed another run and as for the score right now it is 3-2 Rockies

Doug Fister is going to the DL and Alex Rodriguez is hurt right now and those are two key injuries for both teams. Also the Celticts and Lakers will play game 2 of the NBA Finals in LA as the Lakers are winning the series 1 game to 0.

Orioles manager fired

The Orioles are going to fire manager David Trembely and if he is fired then the 3B coach Juan Samuel would be the interm coach for the Orioles and I think this would be a good move I think and a fact that the Orioles are in last place and worst record in MLB that they would need a new manager soon and the Lakers and the Celtics are going to play at 9:00 eastern time as it will be game 1 in LA.

Griffey JR. retires, Galarraga loses perfecto

Seattle Mariners DH Ken Griifey JR. retired after 22 seasons at age 40 and he hit 630HR which was 5th alltime. Also Armando Galarraga lost his perfect game in the ninth inning by an infield single and Umpire Joyce called him safe when he was clearly out.

Willis traded, Posada off DL, to DH?

Tigers pitcher Dontrelle Willis got traded to the Diamondbacks for Billy Buckner. Also Yankees catcher Jorge Posada cam off the DL and might even has a chance to play DH. Other news was that Roger Federer lost his first grand slam since 2004 and Serena Williams lost to ginat killer Stouser at French Open and the Braves sweaped the Phillies to be in first place.
