Royals add Broxton

The Royals have signed closer Jonathan Broxton to a 1 year 4M dollar contract. Broxton will now be converted as the set-up man for closer Joakim Soria. This addition of Broxton will add a great one-two punch of Broxton and Soria. The Royals bullpen will do better this season, but they just need to find another star pitcher to stay in the division race. They have already traded for pitcher Jonathan Sanchez from San Fransisco, and now adding Broxton will help this pitching more.

Roays acquire Johnathan Sanchez

The Kansas City Royals have acquired pitcher Jonathan Sanchez and Ryan Verdugo from the San Fransisco Giants for Outfielder Melky Cabrera. Clearly this wasn't a good trade for both teams because Cabrera had an outstanding season, while Sanchez disappointed last season. However, the Royals pitching needed real help, as they were one of those teams, who were in the bottom of pitching last season. This trade will help both teams for next season. Good luck to both teams this offseason and next season.
