Yanks send Burnett pending on commissioner's ok
The New York Yankees will send starting pitcher A.J. Burnett to the Pittsburgh Pirates for right hander Deigo Moreno and outfielder Exicardo Cayones sources have said. Burnett didn't have any productive seasons in New York and might be the reason why the Yanks want to trade him. Until the commissioner okays the trade, it will be pending.

Eli brings heroics back to super bowl
Once again Eli Manning defeats the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl, and again wins Super Bowl MVP. Eli is no longer the kid brother of the Manning family after winning both his 2nd Super Bowl and Super Bowl MVP. Eli guided New York 88 yards for the game winning TD. During the drive though it wasn't only Eli who did most of the work, Wide Recevier Mario Manningham came up with a spectacular 38 yard catch that helped New York stay alive. Eli has now shown who's boss now in the Manning family now after guiding New York to another Super Bowl victory.

Jays sign Cordero
The Toronto Blue Jays have signed reliever Francisco Cordero to a 1 year $4.5M deal. Cordero will provide plenty of relief help for the Blue Jays who have already acquired Jason Frasor from the White Sox. The addition of Cordero will help the Blue Jays pitching and might keep pace with the Rays, Red Sox, and Yankees.
