Boston Power Surge
The Boston Red Sox dynamic hitting (Lead MLB in hits, runs scored, total bases, runs batted in, batting average, and on-base plus slugging percentage) has guided them to a first place tie with the Baltimore Orioles, in the A.L. East.

Sox Find A Closer
After adding closer Andrew Bailey last offseason, the Red Sox looked to have found there guy after losing there other closer, Jonathan Papelbon. Boston fans, players, and coaches didn't know that they were going to experience a long, hard, cold season after losing Bailey for the season. Red Sox pitchers looked foolish and confused during there dysfunctional 2012 season. Looking to add more to a pitching staff that already added starter Ryan Dempster and reliever Koji Uehara, the Red Sox needed one final piece to finish the puzzle. That piece was closer Joel Hanranhan, who came in a trade from Pittsburgh in a 6 player deal between the two teams. They swapped pitchers Mark Melancon, Stolmy Pimentel, infielder Ivan De Jesus and first basemam Jerry Sands for Hanrahan and infielder Brock Holt. The addition of Joel Hanrahan helps solidify The Red Sox bullpen needs, but naming him closer already is just too much. There at least needs to be some competition in the pen to get Hanrahan's confidence up. Hanrahan didn't produce like he did in 2011 (36 saves, 2.72 E.R.A.), he still did good enough to rank 10th among closers in saves (36). Even though the Red Sox gave up very little to acquire Hanrahan, he has never appeared in Fenway Park ever in his career. He will need lots of adjusting to do if he wants to play the way he did the last 2 years he did Pittsburgh. It's a new atmosphere, new home, new team, and changing to a more competitive division for Hanrahan, who will hopefully help Boston get a playoff spot this upcoming season.

A Lucky Sunday
With a 23 yard pass to wide reciever T.Y. Hilton in the 2nd quarter, against the Kansas City Chiefs, Andrew Luck eclipsed Cam Newton's one year old rookie passing record of 4,051 yards. Luck finished with 205 yards as he one-upped Cam Newton's record to 4,183 through 15 games this season. Being drafted number one is not only special, but the team depends on you. Luck took full advantage of this opportunity to be the Colts starting quarterback. The amazing think that many people don't mention is that Luck did this with 2 rookie wide recievers (T.Y. Hilton and LaVon Brazil), 2 rookie tight ends (Dwyane Allen and Coby Fleener), an unproven starting wide reciever in St.Louis that signed with the Colts this offseason (Donnie Avery, who replace Austin Collie who landed on IR), and a rookie running back in Vick Ballard. Avery, Hilton, Brazil, Fleener, Allen, and Ballard all came together to help guide Andrew Luck to be a successful rookie quarterback. Luck also extended his own rookie-record the same day, as he engineered the Colts in the 4th quarter to defeat the Chiefs 20-13, and most importantly clinching a playoff berth at 10-5. Despite the fact that Luck has thrown 18 interceptions, a 54.3 completion percentage, and has posted a mediocure 75.6 quarterback rating, Luck still has all the tools and confiedence to become a star NFL quarterback. He has thrown more yards than even the elite Aaron Rodgers (3,930 yards through 15 games) and has helped Chuck Pagano's team have a huge turnaround season at 10-5, following a 2-14 record. Congragulations Andrew on accomplishing this feat.
Megatron Sets Mega-record
Duirng there 31-18 loss to the Atlanta Falcons, Detriot Lions wide reciver Calvin Johnson accomplished something that no other wide reciver may break ever again, Jerry Rices's single-season recieving record. With 11 catches for 225 yards, Calvin Johnson finished with 1,892 yards, eclipsing Rice's record by 40 yards. This is a huge accomplishment for Megatron as he had to break-free from double and triple coverages, to set this mark. Johnson also set two more NFL records as became the only NFL player to have 100 recieving yards in 8 straight games and 10 receptions in 4 games in a row. Congragulations Calvin on accomplishing this feat.
D-Backs Sign Cody Ross
The Arizona Diamondbacks have signed free-agent outfielder Cody Ross to a 3 year, $26M contract. The story of Cody Ross' career had been a little shaky after parting ways with the Marlins in 2010, but then once he got calimed by the San Fransisco Giants off waivers, this would change his career. Ross was named MVP of the NLCS as he helped the Giants beat the red-hot Phillies to advance to the World Series. Ross batted an outstanding .350 average and 5 RBI during the NLCS. Ross then helped the Giants bat around Texas pitchers to defeat the Rangers in the world series. Ross then played for the Giants next season and ended up in Boston, for the 2012 season. During his one year tenure with the Red Sox, Ross batted ironically his career average, .267 and hit 22 homers and 81 RBI. With the addition of outfielder Cody Ross, the Diamondbacks coudld say good-bye to Justin Upyon or Jason Kubel, as there looking for options to trade them.
Indians Add Mr Consistent
Nick "Consistancy" Swisher had been a valuable free agent signing by the New York Yankees back in 2009, posting at least 23 homers and 82 RBI during his 4 year there. After the 2012 season, Swisher had became a free agent and had been waiting for 2 whole months for this to happen, signing with a team. That team was the Cleveland Indians, who had posted mediocure numbers offensivley last season. There leading home run hitter was Carlos Santana with 18. This number was very dissapointing as the New York Yankees, who bashed a leauge-leading 245, had 6 players higher than Santana's 18! The Indians as a whole team offensivley couldn't muster anything as they finished in 9 different categories at least 22nd out of 30 MLB teams. With the need of adding a conistent hitter at the plate and losing there star outfielder Shin-Shoo Choo to the Reds, the Indians signed outfielder Nick Swisher. They signed Swisher to a 4 year, $56M contract, but the Tribe will lose a 2nd round draft pick as a compensation. Last season Swisher posted very underratted numbers as he bombed 24 homers and 93 RBI in 148 games. The addition of Swisher will help lead the Tribe back to its hitting ways.

Cubs Sign Edwin Jackson
After signing starters Scott Baker and Scott Feldman, the Cubs were looking for some more arms in there rotation. They signed free agent pitcher Edwin Jackson to a 5 year, $52M contract. Last season Jackson posted a shaky 10-11 record and a 4.03 E.R.A., but had a great strikeout to walk ratio (168:58) in 31 starts. Jackson was also prone to homeruns as he allowed 23 madbomers, including 14 of them on the road. However Edwin Jackson has never appeared in Wrigley Field in his career, so he'll have to make some adjustments in the windy city. The addition of Edwin Jackson to Chicago will provide a solid #2 or #3 spot in this Cubs rotation.

Phillies Add Some Arms
After trading starter Vance Worley and losing closer Jonathan Papelbon, the Phillies needed some help in the rotation and the bullpen after a dissapointing performance from them last season. They signed veteran reliever Mike Adams to a 2 year, $12M contract. Adams has been phenominal the last 3 seasons as he lead the MLB with 97 holds and his 2.06 E.R.A. is second to only Atlanta's Eric O'Flaherty. They also signed starter John Lannon to a 1 year, $2.5M contract. Even though Lannon pitched most of his season at Triple-A Syracuse, he did post a solid 4-1 record, with a 4.13 E.R.A., while filling in for Stephen Strasburg. Lannon has pitched failry decent the last couple of years, but when pitching at Citizens Bank Ballpark, he's posted an atrocious 3-13 record in 19 starts. Furthermore, Lannon and Adams were 2 good signees by the Phillies.

Reds Grab Choo In Big Deal
Outfielder Shin Shoo-Choo is still staying in Ohio, this time he's taking he's brining his talent to Cinncinati. Infielder Jason Donald also packed his bags to Cincy to bring centerfielder Drew Stubbs to Tribe. The Indians also sent reliever Tony Sipp, shortstop Didi Gregorius, and first basmen Lars Anderson to the Diamondbacks for starter Trevor Bauer and relievers Matt Albers and Bryan Shaw. Choo will have to make the transition from right field to center field, where he hasn't played since 2009. Even though Choo isn't as good of a fielder as Stubbs, he brings leadership at the plate, posting a .289 average throughout his 6 year career. While Choo saw more success at the plate, Drew Stubbs was awful at the plate last season, as he wiffed his average to .213, compared to .243 in 2011. Stubbs has the tools to become a gold glove outfielder in Cleveland, but will need to improve his hitting if he wants to play well. Choo has posted a .286 average when he's played in Cinncinati, while Stubbs hasn't preformed well in Clevland, posting a .227 average. Adding right handers Albers, Bauer, and Shaw to the Tribe provides more depth to the Indians staff and the D-Backs did get young shortstop Didi Gregorius who looks to have a good future moving forward, and reliever Tony Sipp will bring an underrated arm to Arizona.
New Angel In The Outfield
After unloading their salary cap on First Basemen Albert Pujols (10 years, $240M) and Starting Pitcher C.J. Wilson (5 years, $77M), you would think the Angels would limit their spending this off-season. That hasn't been the case as they brought in All-Star outfield Josh Hamilton. Hamilton was on a tear during the first half of the season with a .308 AVG, .380 OBP, .635 SLG, 1.015 OPS, 27 Home Runs, and 75 RBI. Then he hit a cold front, batting .259 in the second half of the season. His second-half collapse lost his hopes in winning the A.L. MVP. He did post an impressive 43 homers, 128 RBI, and scored 103 runs to finish the season. Landing Josh Hamilton makes the Angels outfield a dream come true with young phenom Mike Trout and Mark Trumbo/Peter Bourjous. The addition of Josh Hamilton makes Tori Hunter a forgotten one in L.A. Even though Josh Hamilton has immense bat power, there are a few flaws that he needs to adjust. His career statistics at Anahiem are horrific (.143 career average) and needs to be a primed-preformer, following an ugly second half.
A Dempster In The House
A couple days after acquring outfielder Shane Victorino from the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Red Sox made another big offseason move by signing starting pitcher Ryan Dempster. Boston signed Dempster to a 2 year $26.5M contract after he originally declined a 2 year, $25M offer. After starting out the 2012 season with a 5-5 record and a 2.25 E.R.A. with the Chicago Cubs, Dempster headed to the Texas Rangers where he posted a solid 7-3 record, but dreadful 5.09 E.R.A. He finished the season with a 12-8 record and a 3.38 E.R.A. With a rotation that posted a horrendous 4.70 E.R.A., Boston wasted no time to sign the veteran. Although Dempster has struggled at Fenway Park ( posting a 1-1 record with a mediocure 6.06 E.R.A.), his veteran presence will be key for this Boston staff.

A Career in Remberance: Jeremy Shockey
With the 14th pick of the 2002 NFL Draft, the New York Giants select tight end Jeremy Shockey. At the University of Miami, Shockey became a young star there by help leading the Hurricanes to an upset over then-top ranked Florida State Seminoles, with a game-winning touchdown. They went 11-1 that season and Shockey became first-team All-Big East Honors. In 2001, Shockey helped Miami go to the national championship game and was one out three finalists for the John Mackey Award. After being drafted 14th overall, by the New York Giants, Shockey was going to compete to start as a rookie for the Giants. He did, as he caught a sensational 74 passes for 894 yards and 2 TD as helped New York go to the playoffs. Shockey scored a 2 yard TD Catch in the 2nd quarter during the Giants complete collapsing loss against San Fransisco 39-38. Shcokey wound up being a star in New York as he posted the nickname Shock-Jok and went to the probowl 4 times, in his first 5 seasons. He also became the highest paid TE in 2005 when he signed a 5 year contract extension worth $26.38M. On December 16th, 2007, in week 15 of the NFL Season, Shockey suffered a broken fibula and was out for the rest of the season. He was replaced by Kevin Boss though, due to his injury and was part of there 2007 Super Bowl Championship run, who upset Tom Brady, Randy Moss and the high scoring Patriots offense hopes to an undefeated season. Following the 2007 season, Shockey got signed by the Saints where he won another Super Bowl, as he scored his first ever Super Bowl touchdown, as the go-ahead touchdown pass from Drew Bress to beat the Colts 31-17. He later went to Carolina Panthers in 2011 and ended his career as one of the most bruising, most physical tight end i've ever seen before. Shockey was a great tight end throughout his career and deserves a place in the hall someday.
Yanks Sign the Youk
Following a terrible 2012 year, third basemen Kevin Youkillis was sitting in free agency, then all of a sudden he gets picked up by the New York Yankees. We all remeber New York's dreadful playoff bound last season, and with A-Rod out till at least June, they needed to find options in a hurry. Picking up Kevin Youkillis was a decent move by the Yankees, only because he had a poor 2012 season with a horrendous .236 AVG and cracked 19 mad-bombers. The 33 year old Youkillis will still look to improve from this past season and could get the Yanks offense heat up next season.
Phillies Acquire Michael Young
With Third Base Michael Young coming to a close in Texas, the Philadelphia Phillies picked him right up by trading right-hander Josh Lindblom, and minor leaguer Lisalverto Bonilla. At age 36, Michael Young is still trying to keep his pace as a great hitter. Last season wasn't as spectacular as we all thought it would be, but a .277 average is still good. However, his power numbers are slumping as he only hit a mere 8 mad-bombers in the 2012 season. Young has about 2 years to prove himself in Philly, if he doesn't then he pretty much is open to any club as a utillity/bench player.
Dodgers Add Another Star
Starter Zack Grienke heads back to Los Angeles, but this time he won't return to the Angels. With the addition of starter Zack Grienke, the Dodgers rotation will form a great front end at the rotation with Kershaw and Grienke. A 6 year $147M contract, smashes Giants Matt Cain as the highest paid pitcher in baseball right now. Grienke will need to go to his 2009 cy young award form, if he wants to stay in L.A., with a record pitching contract. At age 29, Grienke still has some work to improve, as he hopes to bring his E.R.A. back in the 2.00's. Still a 3.48 E.R.A., in 212 innings pitched is a solid number. Let's hope Grienke will bring the heat for the Dodgers and earn that big contract.
Indians Bring Some Power
With the need of some power on offense, the Clevland Indians picked up former Arizona Diamondback and Baltimore Orioles first/third basemen Mark Reynolds to a 1 year, $6M contract. Despite the fact Reynolds had a poor season at the plate, during the 2012 MLB season, he could have a big comeback year with 30-40 homers and 80-100 RBI in the middle of this Indians offense. This move puts Lonnie Chisnhall at third and Reynolds at first. The addition of Reynolds will help solidify the power game in Clevland.
Royals Add An Ace
Bases loaded and Asdrubal up, it's 7-0 Indians right now. Hochevar from the windup, the pitch, driven deep left, Gordon going back, looking back, Seee Yaaaaaa, later!!!, a GRAND SLAM BY ASDRUBAL CABRERA!! This game ended up in a 15-3 lopsided loss to the Clevland Indians as other opponents during the 2012 MLB season, roughed up Knsas City Royals pitchers, just like the Indians did here. With a terrible 4.30 E.R.A. and finishing the 2012 season with a 72-90 record, the Royals were running out of options. They did acquire starter Ervin Santana this offseason, but wanted more. Trading for ace James Shields and reliever Wade Davis was the perfect move for top prospect Will Myers, right-hander Jake Odorizzi, left-hander Mike Montgomery, and third basemen Patrick Leonard. The Royals haven't produced a winning season since 2003(83-79) and most importantly, haven't had a team E.R.A. under 4.00 since the 1989 squad(3.55). After losing Zack Grienke, things went downhill fast, Royals pitchers were banged up the last 5 years. Shields, who posted a 16-12 record, 2.82 E.R.A. and finishing 3rd in the A.L. Cy Young will be the team's ace. Shields has been remarkable since 2010, leading the league with 14 complete games, third in srikeouts (448), second in innings pitched (477), and shutouts (6). Reliever Wade Davis will help complement reliever Tim Collins to bring in a 1-2 punch for this K.C. Bullpen. Davis posted great numbers last season with a 3-0 record and a 2.43 E.R.A. in his first time ever as a reliever. Davis and Shields will need to step up big time in order to help this Royals pitching come together.

Keppinger Headed To The South Side
Following the loss to third baseman Kevin Youkilis, via free agency, the White Sox went shopping for a new third basemen. That was Jeff Keppinger who signed a 3 year $12M deal. Keppinger can play all the infield positions except first base, and he is the second hardest player to strikeout over the last 3 years. Only outfielder Juan Pierre is tougher tgan strikeout than Keppinger. Though we will not see the type of power we saw from Youkilis, Keppinger hits at least .275 and can get on base. The addition of Keppinger will bring depth in the infield and will make it a battle for pitchers at the plate
Red Sox Sign Koji Uehara
The Boston Red Sox have signed reliver Koji Uehara to a 1 year $4.75M deal. The 37 year old reliever showed he still had gas left in the tank by posting a 1.75 E.R.A and a 0.64 WHIP. His 14.3 strikeout to walk ratio was a reason why Uehara kept the Rangers in games or hold onto the lead. The signing of Urhara is goung to imact this Red Sox needy bullpen.
Cards Add An Arm
The St. Louis Cardinals have signed free agent relief pitcher Randy Choate to a 3 year $7.5M deal. Choate who tied for the MLB lead with 80 relief apperances with add depth to a good St. Louis Cardinals that features closer Jason Motte.
Twins Trade Another One
Trading outfield Denard Span by the Minnesota Twins was a decent move to get a good minor league reliever, but trading away Ben Revere to the Philadelphia Philiies was just too much. Yes they lost starter Scott Baker to the Chicago Cubs, but they need Revere because of his dangerous speed at the begining of the lineup. In return for trading Revere to the Philies, they got a good, young starter in Vance Worley and got another good young arm in Trevor May, to boost there pitching. This gives the Phillies some speed after losing Shane Victorino and Juan Pierre.
Tuesday, December 4, 2012
A New Sock Coming To Town
Following the loss of Carl Crawford after he was traded to the Dodgers this season, the Red Sox were in need of a glove in the outfield. That man is Shane Victorino as the the Boston Red Sox signed him to a 3 year $39M deal. Victorino has great range in the outfield and with Elsburry to, this is a fast outfield. Victorino had a down season in the batting numbers, managing only a .255 average with 11 HR and 55 RBI. Hopefully hel'll bounce back this year and could help the Red Sox back into the playoffs. They also signed catcher Mike Napoli to add more power to the lineup.
Nats Snag Haren
With Gio Gonzalez, Jordan Zimmerman, Stephen Strasburg, and Ross Detwiler, and John Lannan, you would think this Nationals rotation would be set, I guess not. The Addition of Dan Haren will boost there rotation and let there bullpen get some rest as well. We all know Haren had one of his worst years of his career with a 4.33 E.R.A. and a 12-13 record, but hes a big innings eater. The one year $13M contract was a little overboard though, but hopefully the price will pay off this upcoming 2013 season.
Friday, November 30, 2012
Martin Back in the NL.
After being on the Dodgers for 5 years and the Yankees for a year, catcher Russel Martin has bounced right back to the NL, this time a stint with the Pirates. From being a playoff contender to hoping to reach the .500 mark, Russel Martin will try to help Pittsburgh have a winning season since 1992. The Pirates have signed him to a 2 year deal, worth $17M. The Pirates are hoping Martin to play like his 2008 all-star from and most of all, he ring better defensive skills than Rod Barajas. The signing of Martin will help the Pirates.
Speedster coming to D.C.
With an outfield that already features Bryce Harper, Jayson Werth, and Mike Morse, the Nats wanted more by adding Twins speedster Denard Span. Span who is a career .284 hitter, with 90 steals and a .357 OBP is going to help these Nationals. This puts Span at one of the corner outfield positions and bumps Mike Morse to 1B, where free agent Adam LaRoche held last season. The addition of Span will bring a good leadoff hitter for the Nationals.
Braves Send Hanson To L.A.
The Los Angeles Angels have acquired starter Tommy Hanson from the Atlanta Braves for relief pitcher Jordan Walden. Hanson, who posted a 4.48 E.R.A. and a 13-10 record will help sort out this dysfunctional Angels pitching rotation. Last year they added C.J. Wilson who they expected to post numbers like he did in Texas, but he didn't. Dan Haren was alright as he went like a hill last season. Zack Grienke is going to be gone and the Angels pretty much only have Weaver. The addition of Hanson will help this shaky rotation and hopefully he can bounce back from last years 4.48 E.R.A.
Tuesday, November 27, 2012
Eagles Release Babin
After piling up 18 sacks last year in Philly, defensive end Jason Babin has been released by the Philadelphia Eagles after dissapointing them so far this season with 5.5 sacks. The Eagles are 28th in the NFL in sacks this season and are in need of a pass rusher. Letting there youngsters getting more snaps will help them next season, but they need a pass rusher fast to bring pressure though. The release of Babin could interest other teams on the market as well.
Angels Sign Ryan Madson
After having Tommy John surgery this past season with the Cincinnati Reds, Ryan Madson decided to go elsewhere and signed with the Los Angeles Angels. Madson who's posted a 3.59 E.R.A. when he was in Philly from 2003-2011 was absolutely dominant for there club. The addition of Madson for the Angels will boost there bullpen this upcoming season.

Jays Add Melky
After a one year stint with the San Fransisco Giants, outfielder Melky Cabrera found a new home with the Blue Jays. He signed a two year contract worth $16M. With the addition of Cabrera and the giant trade thats pending with the Miami Marlins, the Blue Jays have turned into a contendor team. This year's Blue Jays offseason so far is like the Miami Marlins offseason, they both added big named targets. The signing of Cabrera is going to impact the Blue Jays and a staked outfield that includes Jose Bautista and Raja Davis.
Thursday, November 15, 2012
Cabera, Posey Named MVP
Migeul Cabrera of the Detriot Tigers and Buster Posey of the San Fransisco Giants are your 2012 MLB MVP. Cabrera acheived the triple crown, which hadn't been reached since 1967, batted .330, with 44 homers and 139 RBI. He was also the first Detriot Tigers positin player to win the MVP since 1940. Buster Posey was the other chosen to win the other MVP award by batting .336 for the San Fransisco Giants.
Wednesday, November 14, 2012
Jays, Marlins complete Giant Trade
The Miami Marlins have made a surprising move by trading away all star shortsop Jose Reyes and pitchers Josh Johnson and Mark Buehrle. These were a couple of the players the Marlins sent to the Blue Jays. They also sent outfielder Emilo Bonifacio, catcher John Buck to Toronto for shortstop Yunel Escobar, pitcher Justin Nicolin, outfielder Jake Marisnick, catcher Jeff Mathis, and pitcher Anthony DeSclafani. After adding Reyes and Buehrle last offseason, they traded them away, its like hot potato for them. The Blue Jays got the better of this deal and hopefully those 3 key players will help key the Jays success into the playoffs.
Price Wins
In a very close race to win the A.L.Cy Young Award, David Price edged out Justin Verlander to win it all. Price, who lead the league with a 2.56 E.R.A. and also posted a 20-6 record, has won the A.L. Cy Young.
Tigers Add Hunter
The Detriot Tigers have signed free agent outfielder Tori Hunter to a 2 year, $26M deal. At age 37, Hunter showed age didn't matter by batting .313. A carrer .277 AVG and 297 career home runs, Hunter has brought together a great career. With the Tigers adding Hunter, there lineup will become even more dangerous once catcher/DH Victor Martinez is back too.
Tuesday, November 13, 2012
Melvin, Johnson Coach's Of The Year
Oakland Athletics' Bob Melvin and Washington Nationals Davey Johnson were named the 2012 MLB Coach of the Year award. Melvin had lead the A's to the playoffs for the first time since 2006, while Davey Johnson lead Washington to the best record in the MLB (98-64) and to the playoffs for the first time since they were to Montreal Expos in 1981. Both coaches definitley should of recieved this award to help lead there clubs from barley contenders to season sensation's. Congragulations Melvin and Johnson on winning this award.
Cubs Sign Baker
With the Cubs in need of a starting pitcher, they picked up Scott Baker. Baker who was on the Minnesota Twins this season, has signed with the Chicago Cubs. a second round selection in 2003, Baker had been a memeber of the Twins his whole career, till he signed with the Cubs. He appeared in 23 games in 2011 and none this season because of Tommy John. The addition of Baker will help impact this Cubs rotation.
Monday, November 12, 2012
Harper Wins ROY
After Mike Trout unanimously won the A.L. Rookie of the Year, 19 year old Bryce Harper won the N.L. Rookie of the Year award too. Harper's stats weren't as good as Trout, but they were good enough to win it for the N.L. He batted .277, with 22 homers and 59 RBI, and 18 stolen bases. He helped lead the Nationals to the best record in baseball at 98-64, and lead them to the playoffs for the first time since 1981 too. Like Trout, Harper looks to have a good future in the MLB.
D'Antoni is Back
After coaching the Suns and the Knicks, Mike D'Antoni has another chance to lead a playoff potential team, the Lakers. Following a 1-4 start the Lakers had fired Mike Brown and then turned to D'Antoni for help. So far the Lakers are 2-0 with him, maybe there forget about the terrible start and rush to first place in the West. The hiring of D'Antoni will impact the Lakers.
What a Trout
After having one of the most significant rookie season's we've seen in a while, Angeles outfielder Mike Trout unanimously wins the A.L. rookie of the year award. He beat out division foes Yoenis Cespedes (outfielder for the Oakland A's) and Yu Darvish (starter for the Texas Rangers). Trout batted .326 with 30 homers, and 83 RBI. Most of all he lead the MLB with 129 runs scored and 49 stolen bases. What a season Mike Trout had, and hopefully the phenom can repeat his rookie sensation season.
Saturday, November 10, 2012
Lakers Fire Brown
After a horrible 1-4 start, the Lakers have fired coach Mike Brown. Assistant Coach Bernie Bickerstaff will be the interm for the Lakers, for now. Mike tried his best as the Lakers coach, but couldn't get the job done at the beginning of this season. This was one of the quickest firings i've heard in a long time.
Red Sox Sign David Ross
The Boston Red Sox have signed catcher David Ross to a 2 year $6.2M. Ross who batted .256 AVG, 9 homers, and 23 RBI in 62 games for the Braves, will probably back up Jarrod Saltalamachia this upcoming season.
Saturday, November 3, 2012
Blue Jays Acquire Esmil Rodgers
After just acquiring Mike Aviles from Boston to finish off the John Farrell deal, the Blue Jays shipped Aviles away to the tribe, along with Yan Gomes for Esmil Rodgers. The addition of Rodgers will help boost a shaky Jays rotation. Rodgers had pitched 53 innings and posted a respectable 3.06 E.R.A. for the tribe this season. On the other hand, the Indians got a nice addition in Mike Aviles. the 31 year old infielder batted .250 while Yan Gomes batted a mere .204 AVG. Both teams got a fair deal in this trade and hopefully all 3 of these players will perform well for there clubs this upcoming season.
Thursday, November 1, 2012
Royas Acquire Santana
It's not Johan Santana, but trading for starter Ervin Santana will boost this horrible Royals rotation. The Angeles had already exercised his contract and looking forward to have him next season, but the Royals sweeped him up for minor leaguer Brandon Sisk. Last offseason the Royals had traded outfielder Melky Cabrera for starter Johnathan Sanchez and lost that trade by a long shot with Cabrera batting .346 in San Fransisco and Sanchez posting a horrendous 1-6, 7.76 E.R.A. Maybe Santana won't end up being like Sanchez and rebounds from an off-year performance to become the team's ace.
Marlins Hire Redmond
After firing Ozzie Guillen, the Marlins found another option in Mike Redmond. Redmond had spent the past two years with the Blue Jays Class A team and took his first ever big league job as now the manager of the Marlins. The Marlins were heavily dissapointed this season and hoepfully Redmond can put them back on track to a winnning season.

Giants Complete Sweep Of Tigers
The San Fransisco are your 2012 World Series Champions. With a 4-3 10th inning victory over the Tigers, the Giants completed a sweep over Detriot. Led by dominating pitching and clutch hitting, the Giants stormed passed the Tigers to win there 2nd championship in the last 3 years. Giants third basemen Pablo Sandavol was World Series MVP. Giants Win
After an 9-0 rout against the St. Louis Cardinals, the Giants went crazy as they made the improbable come true by coming back from a 3-1 series deficit, to winning the NLCS against the Cardinals. With a roaring 5 run 3rd the Giants never looked back as they roughed up starter Kyle Lohse. The Giants hitting came back to life as they got great performances from the likes of NLCS MVP Marco Scutaro, outfielders Angal Pagan and Hunter Pence, catcher Buster Posey and Co. as they routed the cArdinals. The Giants are only the 7th team in MLB history to be last in team homeruns, but still advance to the World Series. Congragulations San Fransisco on moving on to the World Series.
Marlins Fire Guillen
After a horrid 69-93 first year with the Marlins, Ozzie Guillen was fired. They brought in a great group of players like starter Mark Buehrle, reliver Heath Bell, and shortstop Jose Reyes, but still couldn't get the job done. They were ranked 15th in runs scored , 13th in batting average, 14th in OPS, 12th in E.R.A., and last in Pitcher strikeouts for there NL Rankings. This Franchise was suppost to bounce back, but instead it took a step down. The Marlins need a manager and need some way to get back into contention, in the NL East.

Posey, Rodney Win Comeback Player Of The Year
San Fransisco Giants catcher Buster Posey and Tampa Bay Rays closer Fernando Rodney have won the 2012 comeback player of the year award. Posey who was held to only 45 games last season due to a brutal hit a the plate last season, came back by leading the N.L. in average with .336 and driving in a career best 103 RBI and 24 homers. Rodney, coming off a terrible season and an injury with the Angles, he came back by having a 0.60 E.R.A., a career high 76 appearances, and was second in the league with 48 saves. Congratulations Posey and Rodney for winning this award.
D-Backs Acquire Heath Bell
The Arizona Diamondbacks have acquired reliever Heath Bell. The D-Backs sent outfielder Chris Young, to the Oakland Athletics for shortstop Cliff Pennington and minor league infielder Yordy Cabrera. Then the Diamondbacks sent Cabrera to the Marlins to obtain Heath Bell. Despite the fact Bell had an off year, he will have great veteran leadership in the Diamondbacks bullpen and the Marlins and let loose some cap space off there hands as well.
Yankees Get Swept
The Detroit Tigers are back in the World Series for the first time since 2006. With a 8-1 victory over the New York Yankees, the Tigers completed the four game sweep of the Yankees, there first since 1980. With Max Scherzer stifling the Yankees lineup with ten strikeouts, the Yankees lineup went silent, only piling up 2 hits the entire game. Tigers DH Delmon Young was named MVP of the ALCS. The Yankees were very disappointing this postseason as they hit for the lowest average in postseason history, .188. Robinson Cano, Curtis Granderson, and all the other Yankees just couldn't get the job done. For the Tigers, Congratulations on being the AL pennant winners.
Red Sox Hire Farrell
The Boston Red Sox have hired Blue Jays manager John Farrell as there new manager. Signing Farrell to a 3 year deal hopefully puts the Red Sox back on track, after a miserable season this year. The Red Sox acquired Farrell by trading away short stop Mike Aviles to Toronto and in return, Boston will get pitcher David Carpenter. The hiring of Farrell will hopefully help out this Red Sox squad.

Kevin Love Breaks Hand
Minnesota Timberwolves Power Forward Kevin Love broke his hand while working out Wendesday before practice. Already without star point guard Ricky Rubio, the Timberwolves are in a deep hole now after losing there best player in Kevin Love. With Love being out 6-8 weeks, second year pro Derrick Williams will have a chance to have more playing time during the season. The injury of Love, hurts the Timberwolves, but only about the first 2,3,4 weeks of the season.

Ray, Ladarius Are Done
Ravens Pro Bowl Linebacker Ray Lewis, and cornerback Ladarius Webb are out for season. This is a huge blow for the Baltimore Ravens defense who have lost there defensive leader in Ray Lewis and there best cornerback Ladarius Webb. Lewis suffered his injury by tearing his triceps, and Webb got a torn ACL. Good Luck to the Baltimore Ravens, especially there defense for the remainder of the season, as they lost both stars on there defense and already have lost linebacker Terrell Suggs to for the season as well.

Yankees Lose Jeter For Rest Of Postseason
The New York Yankees have lost all star shortstop Derek Jeter after he suffered a fractured left ankle last night against the Tigers. This is a huge loss for the Yankees and this could be the end of the Yankees hopes to go to the Fall Classic. Hopefully Jeter will be better by the time spring training opens next season. As for the Yankees, good luck beating the Tigers without Jeter.

Cards Rally Nats To Return To NLCS
With a 6-0 lead heading into the 4th inning, the Washington Nationals looked like they were going to the NLCS, but disaster struck as the Cardinals offense steadily kept scoring runs to finally end the game at a 9-7 win. Nationals relief pitcher Drew Storen blew it in the 9th, allowing 4 earned runs to take the loss. For the Cardinals, they will return to the NLCS and will play the San Fransisco Giants.

Yanks Headed To ALCS
Behind CC Sabathia's complete game, the New York Yankees have defeated the Balitimore Orioles and have advanced to the American League Championship against the Detroit Tigers. The Baltimore Orioles story season has ended and hopefully they could get further in the playoffs next season. Congrats to the Yankees on moving forward in the Octoberfest.

Cushing Out For Season
The Houston Texans have a devastating loss on the defensive side of the ball with linebacker Brian Cushing out for the rest of the season with a torn ACL. During the 2nd quarter on Monday Night Football against the New York Jets, Cushing got blocked by Jets guard Matt Slausen, which appeared to cause a tear in his ACL. Cushing walked off the field, but never returned back to the game. This is a huge loss for Houston's defense who already lost linebacker DeMeco Ryans (via trade) to the Eagles, and will need some big time help from the rest of the defense to continue there run of being undefeated.

Francona signs with Cleveland
Former Boston Red Sox manager Terry Francona has decided to take another chance as a manager, this time with the Cleveland Indians. Francona had agreed to a 4 year deal with the Indians and might be able to get the Indians back to the playoffs in a couple of years. A two-time world series champ with the Boston Red Sox, Francona has lots of expirence under his belt and could turn around a Indians squad, who just lost 94 games this season.
Benson out Against Houston
Green Bay Packers reunning back Cedric Benson is ruled out against the Houston Texans, due to a foot injury. He will be replaced by rookie Alex Green when they play Houston on Sunday. Mike McCarthy had announced this on Monday saying that Benson needed the rest so he could play next week.

Saints Win First Game as Brees Breaks Unitas' Record
Drew Brees help the Saints offense get started by throwing a touchdown pass to Devery Henderson and breaking Johnny Unitas' 50 year old record with a touchdown pass in 48 consecutive games. They overcame a 24-14 deficit by throwing 2 more touchdown passes to Marques Coltson, who broke the Saints all-time record of receiving touchdowns with his 51st in the third quarter. With Marques Colston catching 9 passes for 131 yards and 3 scores and Drew Brees lighting up the Chargers defense with 370 yards and 4 touchdowns, the Saints came back and held the Chargers at the end 31-24.
Brady, Pats beat Manning, Broncos
Tom Brady and the New England Patriots have defeated Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos 31-21. Led by the Patriots 251 rushing yards (Stevan Ridley had 151 of them), the Patriots beat the Broncos even without Aaron Hernandez. Tom Brady 9-4 against Peyton Manning all-time and this victory has put the Patriots 3-2, and the Broncos 2-3.
Brees Breaks Unitas's Record
Drew Brees has just set an NFL record with a touchdown in 48 consecutive games. Brees broke Johnny Unitas's record which was set about 50 years ago with the Colts. With the Saints down 7-0, Drew Brees found Devery Henderson wide open for a 40 yard touchdown pass to break the record against the Chargers. The only player player who's came close to this is Tom Brady with 37 consecutive games, which he just extended today. This night will be what defines Drew Brees's career.

O's Upset Rangers
The Baltimore Orioles have ended the Texas Rangers Rangers run at a 3-peat run to the World Series. With a great performance from starter Joe Sanders, and a group of guys who helped power there way through pitcher Yu Darvish and the Rangers. With a 5-1 defeat pver the Rangers, Buck Showalter and the Orioles have a chance to beat the Yankees.

A's Win the West?
Out of all the teams to win the A.L. West this MLB season, its the Oakland Athleticts. They've completed an improbable run which started with losing pitchers Trevor Cahill, Gio Gonzalez, Andrew Bailey, and hitter Josh Willingham. This team reminds me of the 2002 Oakland A's who lost Jason Isringhausen, Jason Giambi, and Johnny Damon. Both of these A's teams had came out of nowhere to win the A.L. West. With a 12-5 win over the Texas Rangers, the A's are crown champions of the A.L. West, and are 2nd seed, behind the New York Yankees. Led by a group of yougstars, rookie Yoenis Cespedes, outfielder Josh Reddick, relief pitcher Grant Balfour, and others who helped the A's complete the 162 game season a top the A.L. West. The 2012 A's have to be the surprise team of this MLB season.
Miggy Wins Triple Crown
Detroit Tigers Miguel Cabrera is the first triple crown winner since Carl Yastrzemski achieved it in 1967. Cabrera who finished the season with a .330 AVG, 44 HR, and 139 RBI had a terrific year and helped the Tigers claim first place in the AL Central. Cabrera was just the 12th player to achieve this in MLB history and without a queastion, should hands down be the A.L. MVP.

Jets move McKnight to corner
A surprising move has been made by the New York Jets as they have moved running back Joe McKnight to cornerback after the loss of Darrelle Revis. "He'll still have an offensive role" Rex Ryans said, as he was becoming a nobody in the offense so far this season. McKnight will get his playing time up this season and his blazing speed with help the Jets guard speedy wide recievers as well. This move may be stupid to some people, but I think this a great way to get someone involved at two or three positions in one game.
Replacement Refs keep blowing calls
After a huge call on the Russell Wilson Hail Mary touchdown pass to Golden Tate, fans, NFL players are probably furious right now because of bad calls these first 3 weeks of the 2012 season. With countless controversal calls by the replacement refs, the refs are horribly critized and there's tons of pressure on them now after what we saw in week 3. Even though the replacement refs haven't been as good as we thought they would be, they've tried there hardest and are intimidated, in a way, by the players before games. However, the NFLRA might be able to negociate the refs out of the lockout and there can be better referees now.
Revis is Done
The Jets will be losing all-pro conerback Darrelle Revis for the season. After getting injured while trying to attempt to tackle running back Daniel Thomas, Revis felt something and it seemed like it was pulled at first, but it was far worse than that. He injured his left knee against the Dolphins Sunday and will need surgery on his ACL. The loss of Revis is going to kill the Jets season and they probably won't make the playoffs either.
Saturday, September 22, 2012
Gonzalez first to win 20
Washington Nationals Gio Gonzalez is the first MLB player to win 20 games this season. With the help from a great offensive performance against the Brewers, Gio won his 20th game. He's the first National to win 20 games since Ross Grimsley in 1978.

McDonald Downgraded To Pen
The Pittsburgh Pirates have removed starting pitcher James McDonald from the rotation and have moved him to the bullpen. Right-Handed pitcher Kyle McPherson will take McDonald's spot in the rotation. McDonald was doing phenominal in the first half with a 9-3 record and a 2.37 E.R.A. However he had taken some bad luck to the second half of the season as he slumped with a 3-5 record, and a 7.08 E.R.A. Let's see if McDonald will improve in the bullpen and hopefully help the Pirates serge for there first playoff apperance since 1992.
Redskins Lose 2 Defenders
The Washington Redksins have lost starters Brian Orakpo and Adam Carriker for the rest of the season. This puts the Redskins defense in a huge whole and RG3 might have to be on top of his game in order to help the Redskins win games. Orakpo tore his pectoral muscle, while Carriker tore his quad tendon. The loss of Orakpo and Carriker are going to kill the Redskins for the remainder of the season.
Hernandez gets banged up
New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez has suffered a right ankle injury, which will keep him out of action for a couple of weeks. The loss of Hernandez devastated the Patriots big time as they were upset by the Cardinals 20-18. Hernandez is key in this Patriots explossive offense and will be missed for about the next two weeks. For those who have Aaron Hernandez on your fantasy team, it's time to keep him on your bench for a couple of weeks.

A-Gon's a Dodger
The Los Angeles Dodgers have already acquired short stop Hanley Ramirez, outfielder Shane Victorino, relief pitcher Randy Choate and Brandon League and a couple others already. Well, they made another big splash in the trade by acquiring 4 Boston Red Sox, including Adrian Gonzalez. The Dodgers brought Gonzalez, Josh Beckett, Carl Crawford, and Nick Punto for James Loney, pitching prospect Allen Webster, infielder Ivan DeJesus Jr. and two others. So far the Dodgers have won this trade, with A-Gon shooting his first at bat with a home run and Josh Beckett looked sharp his first start as a Dodger too. The Dodgers are now a complete team and look to advance to the playoffs. Maybe even the world series.
Redskins say good bye to Cooley
The Washington Redskins have parted ways with tight end Chris Cooley. After being with the Redksins all 8 seasons of his career, it was time for Cooley to be let go. This is a pretty big loss, but hopefully he'll find a new home soon. Cooley finished with 428 career catches during his time with the Skins and will be a tough loss for the squad.
Redskins sign Cundiff
The Washington Redskins have signed veteran Billy Cundiff after parting ways with Graham Gano earlier. Cundiff will be a huge upgrade over Gano, who missed a season high 10 field goals last season. Cundiff was previously released by the Ravens and it wasn't long before the Redskins signed him. The addition of Cundiff should help the Redskins kicking duty.
Thursday, August 23, 2012
Crawford has Tommy John
Boston Red Sox outfielder Carl Crawford will end the 2012 MLB season on a low note with Tommy John surgery. Crawford did a good job when he was in the lineup batting .282 average, 10 doubles, 2 triples, 3 home runs, and 19 RBI in only 31 games. Hopefully he'll be back in uniform with the Red Sox next season.
Colon joins Melky with 50 Game Suspension
Oakland Athletics starting pitcher Bartolo Colon was also caught taking testosterone. Colon joins Giants All Star Melky Cabrera on the 50 game suspension list. This is very shocking and he's one of the arms the A's are reyling on right now. Colon is having a terrific year before his suspension ended his season with a 10-9 record and a 3.43 E.R.A. This could cost the A's season especially since there a huge contender in this wild card AL race.
Wednesday, August 15, 2012
Melk Man suspended for 50 games
San Francisco Giants all-star Melky Cabrera has been suspended 50 games for testing positive for testosterone. This has devastated the Giants lineup and fantasy owners. This could cost the Giants season and the Giants are very dissapointed of Melky too. He's having a terrific performance with his first season of the Giants, batting .346 with 11 home runs and 60 RBI. He was also named the all-star game MVP as well. We will see the result of what the Giants will do without Melky Cabrera.
King Felix Throws Perfecto
The Seattle Mariners ace Felix Hernandez has just thrown a web gem against the Tampa Bay Rays. He threw the 23rd perfect game in MLB history and the 3rd this season! Hernandez shut down Evan Longoria and the Rays top to bottom to finish with 12 strikeouts and a perfecta. Congragualtions Felix on the perfect game today.

Superman headed to L.A.
The Los Angeles Lakers have acquired all star center Dwight Howard in a 4 team trade. The Lakers will receive Howard, Earl Clark, Chris Duhon, the Nuggets will get Andre Igudola, the 76ers will grab Andrew Bynum and Jason Richardson, and the Magic will recieve Arron Afflalo, Al Harrington, Nikola Vucevic, and a future first round draft pick. The addition of Dwight will make the Lakers contenders for sure this upcoming NBA season and could help the 3 other teams as well. The Lakers now have a stacked starting 5 that includes Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash, Pau Gasol, Dwight Howard, and Metta World Peace. There now the team to beat in the NBA and we'll see how they will do this year. Orlando will be devastated with the loss of Howard and hope to find a new star. The Lakers could make a run for a championship this season while the others will hope to contend this season.
Yanks sign Lowe
The New York Yankees have signed veteran starting pitcher Derek Lowe to a minor league contract. Lowe will be used in the Yankees bullpen once he gets called up to the majors. He was just previously released by the Indians, on August 2nd, and could eventually be used as a #5 starter too.
Veteram Romero headed to Baltimore
The Baltimore Orioles have acquired relief pitcher J.C. Romero from the Cleveland Indians for minor leaguer Carlos Rojas. Romero will bring to depth to a great Baltimore bullpen and will try to make a comeback after being released by the Cardinals earlier this season.
Wednesday, August 1, 2012
Angels Add an Ace
The Los Angeles Angels have acquired ace Zack Greinke from the Milwakee Brewers for top infield prospect Jean Segura and Double-A right handers Ariel Pena and John Hellweg. Greinke will return to the AL after just being there a couple of years ago with the Royals. Pena and Hellweg are decent minor league pitchers and Segura was rated baseball's 55th best prospect in baseball heading into this season. Segura will help the need of the shortstop position in Milwakee. Greinke will help make the Angels have a better rotation featuring Jered Weaver and C.J. Wilson.
Bulls Add Depth to Bench
The Chicago Bulls have signed guard Nate Robinson. Although Robinson is just 5-9, he's the only player to win 3 slam dunk contests at his size. Robinson was a great scorer a couple years ago, averaging 17.2 points per game. He averaged 11.2 last season with the Warriors and will be the backup point guard behing Kirk Hinrich while Derrick Rose heels.
Pirates acquire Gaby Sanchez
The Pittsburgh Pirates have acquired 1st basmeman Gaby Sanchez from the Miami Marlins for Gorkys Hernandez. Sanchez has been struggling this year which could worry Pirates fans if this was a good trade or not. In this case Pittsburgh sort of needed another bat at the bottom of the lineup for a boost anyways.
Dodgers add another reliever
The Dodgers already added Marlins pitcher Randy Choate early and now have added another good one as well, Brandon League. League was acquired from the Dodgers for good hitting prospect Leon Landry and great minor league reliever Logan Bawcom. Landry's batting .328 and has 15 triples in 376 plate apperances, while Bawcom has a 2.03 E.R.A. in 48 and 2/3 of relief. While these 2 should help the Mariners in the future, League will help the Dodgers in late innings. This trade should help both teams and we will see who'll get the best of it.
Braves acquire Maholm and Johnson
The Atlanta Braves have acquired acquired Cubs starter Paul Maholm and outfielder Reed Johnson for right-hander's Jaye Champon and Arodys Vizcaino. Maholm keeps improving ever since the all-star break was over and Johnson has been a great bench player for the Cubs as well. Vizcanio, a great prospect and Champon could help the Cubs pitching in the future.
Cubs part ways with Dempster
The Chicago Cubs are still in the process of rebuilding there team by trading away Ryan Dempster for minor league third baseman Christian Villanueva and minor league pitcher Kyle Hendricks. Although the Braves and Dodgers were favored to acquire Dempster, they both failed and he ended up with the Rangers. Texas was in need of starters after Colby Lewis was lost for the season. Dempster has been a reliable starter and could help the Rangers down the stretch of the season.
Reds Add On to Great Relief
The Reds have added another piece to the NL's best bullpen. They acquired closer Jonathan Broxton from the Kansas City Royals for minor's Donnie Joseph and J.C. Sulbaran. Broxton has been as sharp as any closer this season with a 2.27 E.R.A. and 23 saves so far this season. Broxton will be added to a bullpen that features flame-throwing Aroldis Chapmon and Sean Marshall.
Cards Bring More Relief
The St.Louis Cardinals have acquired relief pitcher Edward Mujica from the Miami Marlins for third baseman Zack Cox. The Cardinals have once again added some relief at the trade deadline to make a run at another World Series title.

Hamels signs big contract
Cole Hamels and the Phillies have agreed on the 2nd highest pitcher contract in the MLB. This is a 6 year $144M contract worth $24M each year till the contract expires. Only C.C. Sabathia's $161M contract was higher than Hamels.
Wandy headed to Bucs
The Pittsburgh Pirates have acquired starting pitcher Wandy Rodriguez from the Houston Astros in exchange for a couple of prospects. The Pirates have added a great pitcher, with good stuff, that can help the Pirates chances of getting into the postseason. The loss of Rodriguez is devastating in Houston as the Astros continue to rebuild there team.
Rays acquire Ryan Roberts
The Tampa Bay Rays have acquired infielder Ryan Roberts from the Diamondbacks for minor league second baseman Tyler Bortnick. The addition of Roberts will provide great depth and a decent bat for the Rays.
Lopez headed to New Orleans in 3 team trade
The New Orleans Hornets have acquired center Brook Lopez and forward Hakim Warrick from the Phoenix Suns. The deal also includes Wesley Johnson and a 1st round pick from the Timberwolves to the Phoenix Suns. Then this sends guard Jerome Dyson to the Minnesota and then Brad Miller retired to free cap space for the Timberwolves. This must of been a confusing trade, but in the end it was finally offical. The addition of Brook Lopez to the Hornets will bring great size and skill to a such needy, talent team.
Tuesday, July 24, 2012
Panthers send Otah to New York
The Carolina Panthers have traded away injury-prone tackle Jeff Otah to the New York Jets for a draft pick. Otah started his first 2 seasons before getting banged up the past 2 seasons. Otah will now compete for the starting right tackle position with Wayne Hunter. The loss of Otah will hurt the Carolina O-line and the Jets a talented young player.
Tigers acquire Sanchez and Infante
The Detroit Tigers have acquired second baseman Omar Infante and starting pitcher Anibal Sanchez for pitcher Jacoub Turner and 2 prospects. This move has made the Tigers an even more dangerous team in the AL. Infante will improve a second base position in Detroit and Anibal Sanchez arm will help a Detroit rotation that has struggled recently. This is going to be difficult for the Marlins as they've just lost 2 impact players from there team.
Thursday, July 12, 2012
Trumbo, Kimbrel and others avoiding sophmore jinx
Mark Trumbo and Craig Kimbril have avoided the sophmore jinx so far. While Trumbo has only gotten better, Kimbrel is the same way as he leads the NL with 25 saves. Jeremy Hellickson is another one that hasn't had a sophmore slump this season too. These players will try not to slump after the All Star break, where in year's past has ruined players.
Raptors sign offer sheet to Fields

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed tight end Dallas Clark to a 1 year deal. The Bucs who had parted ways with tight end Kellen Winslow, had room to sign Clark. Clark went to the Pro Bowl in 2009, isn't the same anymore, but will provide a good target for quarterback Josh Freeman.

Tuesday, March 20, 2012
Eagles acquire DeMeco Ryans
The Eagels have struck luck as they have acquired Texans Pro Bowl LB DeMeco Ryans for a 4th round draft pick. Simply this has been an uneaven trade for both teams and the Eagles have gotten the best out of it. Ryans is still young at 28 years old and will bring big play ability to a Eagles team that despretley needed a LB. The addition of Ryans is a huge upgrade for the Eagles.
Broncos sign Peyton Manning
The Denver Broncos have signed QB Peyton Manning to a 5 year $96M contract. Manning is very excited to have a chance in Denver. Grabbing Manning was a huge upgrade at QB for the Broncos, but then again, Manning is still recovering from that neck injury. Peyton is one of the best QB ever to play in the NFL and is a great addition by the Broncos.
Monday, March 19, 2012
Seahawks sign Matt Flynn

They've already got DeAngalo Williams, Johnathan Stewart, and Mike Goodson already, however they're under contract for next season though. The addition of Tolbert will help the Panthers depth at RB and a great addition on special teams.
Jets sign Landry
The New York Jets have agreed to terms with free agent saftey, LaRon Landry. The deal is worth $4 million for 1 year in New York. Landry has missed the last two season because of a Achillies tendon issue and hopefully doesn't result in a thirs straight. Landry is a risky signing, but is worth trying. When on the field, Landry is very physical against the run and a great playmaker.
Sunday, March 18, 2012
Bills sign Mario Williams
The Buffalo Bills have signed prized free agent linebacker Mario Williams to a 6 year $96 million contract. Bucks deal Bogut to Warriors
The Milwaukee Bucks have dealt center Andrew Bogut to the Golden State Warriors for shooting guard Monta Ellis. The Bucks will also receive Kwmae Brown and Ekpe Udoh in the deal too. Even though this trade will hurt the Bucks size, it will give them more speed a good scroing ability. This trade also sent Steven Jackson to the Warriors too, along with Andrew Bogut. This trade was pretty even and will see who will get the better of the trade.
Bucs making Big splash
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed three great players in the free agent pool:guard Carl Nicks, cornerback Eric Wright, and wide receiver Vincent Jackson. These three additions will help the Bucs this season. They signed former Detriot Lion Eric Wright to a 5 year $37.5 million dollar contract. Wright will take Rhonde Barber's place, who is now a free agent. They agreed with Jackson to a 5 year $55.5 million dollar contract. Jackson has the size the Bucs want and the ability to make spectacular plays. He will team up with Mike Williams to form a great receiving core for Josh Freeman. They big singing though was former Siants guard, Carl Nicks. Nicks is probably the best offensive guard in the league and is one reason why he is the highest paid offensive guard in the NFL. With these three additions by the Buccaneers, they could help be in the division race and maybe even make the playoffs.

Pats Franchise Welker
The New England Patriots have franchise taged Wide Receiver Wes Welker. Welker has been outstanding ever since joining the Patriots in 2007. He's caught more passes than any other player(554) since 2007 and has two seasons in which he's caught more than 120 passes. He's made a great target for Tom and is one reason he is considered the best slot receiver in the NFL. Franchise Tagging Welker was a smart move by the Patriots, but what will the Patriots do now in the offseason?
