Jenkins retires
After missing the last two seasons with the Jets DT Kris Jenkins announced he would retire today. At age 31 Jenkins still had still some years left but bothering injuries forced him to retire. At 6 foot 5 350 pounds, Kris Jenkins was a mammmoth DT that was a force in Carolina and with the New York Jets. A four time pro bowler, Jenkins was great in the middle for Carolina. He would team up with Mike Rucker and Julius Peppers too during his days in Carolina. He finished with 24 sacks, 279 tackles and two forced fumbles. Kris had a great career and was a big athetic man.
