Jaguars Hire Jedd Fisch
New Jaguars coach Gus Bradley wanted to bring a special someone to coach, with him, in Jacksonville. That someone was his former college offensive coordinator Jedd Fisch, who will try to improve a Jaguars offense that ranked a mere 29th in total offense. Fisch has spent the last two years as the Miami Hurricanes play-caller and QB coach. He had helped the Hurricanes to a very consistent offense throughout the season and should improve the Jaguars offense. One of the reasons why Jacksonville finished 29th in offense was because there best offensive player, Maurice Jones-Drew was out for the season. Former GM had traded up to get Blanie Gabbert in the first round, but failed to meet expectations or play up to his potential. Until Chad Henne threw for 2,084 yards in the final six games, the Jaguars were hopeless. Injuries again to this offensive line killed them, which will need to be improved this coming off-season. The Jaguars will need to find a new QB this coming off-season, but with no huge big named players at QB in the free agent pool, should be a challenge. Fisch has some NFL experience under his belt as he spent four seasons with the Ravens as the offensive coordinator (2004), to assistant QB/receivers coach (2005-2006), to assistant QB coach (2007). This off-season is going to be interesting if your a Jaguar fan and should be interesting how Fisch will run this offense.
