Clippers land CP3
The Los Angeles Clippers have landed all star point guard Chris Paul. Paul was dealt to the Clippers for Eric Gordon, Chris Kaman, Al-Farouq Aminu, Minnesota Timberwolves 1st round pick, and 2 future second round picks. I think that the Hornets won this trade becuase the got a great guard in Eric Gordon, a good center in Chris Kaman, Al-Farouq Aminu and 2 second round picks, plus a first rounder all for Chris Paul. This trade was just ridiculous, but the Clippers got one of the best point guards in the league, Chris Paul. Paul will team up with highlight reel Blake Griffin to form a great one-two pucnh. The addition of Paul will help the Clippers a lot this season.

Harang will be a nice pitcher to have in the Dodgers rotation for this upcoming season.

The Miami Marlins have signed all star shortstop Jose Reyes to a 6 year $107 million contract. However sources have said that Hanley is going to play third base and Reyes will play shortstop. Reyes is going to help this Miami Marlins needy offense this season.

The Los Angeles Angels have shocked the baseball world by adding first baseman Albert Pujols and starting pitcher C.J. Wilson. These were the prized free agents that most teams wanted, but the Angeles hit jackpot bu adding both of these players. The Angeles signed Pujols to a 10 year $252 million contract. Pujols is now offically the 2nd most payed baseball player ever since the Texas Rangers signed third baseman Alex Rodriguez to a record 10 year $275 million contract in 2001. Pujols is going to help this club a lot, and with a lineup that already features Mark Trumbo and Tori Hunter. Pujols is going to mean a lot to the club and he's going to produce a lot.
The Angels also landed the best pitcher on the market, C.J. Wilson. They signed Wilson to a 4 year $77.5 million contract. Wilson will team up with a great rotation featuring Jered Weaver, Ervin Santana, and Dan Haren. Wilson is coming off a career season with 16 wins and a 2.94 E.R.A. Adding Wilson makes the Angeles pitching even better and they might have the best roation in baseball. Wilson will help the Angeles as a contender in the AL West. Marlins, Buehrle agree
The Miami Marlins and Mark Buehrle have agreed on a 4 year $58 million deal. Buehrle will be with Ozzie Guillen once again, but this time with the Miami Marlins. Buehrle is a great pitcher and will eat up innings for any team he will play for. Expect Buehrle to go over 200 plus innings once again. The Marlins were 12th in the NL in E.R.A. last season and with the addition of Buehrle, that number will decrease. With a pitching rotation featuring Josh Johnson, Anibal Sanchez, Ricky Nolasco, and now Buehrle. If this rotation does as expected then the Mimai Marlins have a shot at the playoffs.
Padres acquire Huston Street
After closer Heath Bell signed with the Miami Marlins, the Padres were in need of a replacement of all star closer Heath Bell. Problem was solved as the Padres acquired closer Huston Street from the Rockies for a player to be named later. Street now gets in pitch in pitcher friendly Petco Park. Street could have a dominate season this year and with the trasition from Coors Field to Petco Park, Street's homr run ration will drop definitely this year. The acquisition of Street will help the Padres bullpen this year after the exodus of Heath Bell.
Giants acquire Angel Pagan
The San Francisco Giants have acquired outfielder Angel Pagan from the New York Mets for outfielder Andres Torres and pitcher Ramon Ramirez. The Giants, who have already acquired outfilder Melky Cabrera, have now added a speedster in Pagan that could help balance out the Giants offense. Saturday, December 3, 2011
Cubs sign DeJesus
The Chicago Cubs and outfielder David DeJesus have agreed on a 2 year deal. DeJesus will bring leadership and greatness to a wimpy Chicago Cubs outfield. With the addition of DeJesus, the Cubs have found a guy that has lots of talent, but lacks power. All the Cubs need now is a guy like Prince, Albert or a dominate hitter at the plate that can explode for there offense. David will make the lineup balanced for the Cubs, who didn't see much of that last season. DeJesus is going to make the Cubs a good hitting team.
Marlins sign Heath Bell
The Miami Marlins have signed closer Heath Bell to a 3 year contract. The Miami Marlins had needs in there bullpen and Bell was the right choice to choose on the market. They have already traded for pitcher Jonathan Sanchez from San Fransisco, and now adding Broxton will help this pitching more.

Verlander was the first starting pitcher since Boston's Roger Clemons in 1986. Verlander had a phenomenal year in 2011 and might repeat next year too, but can he? Verlander showed what a true number one starter for team really is. Verlander had statistically had a amazing year, and you might not see a preformance like what Verlander had, in a while. The Results are in
The AL and NL winners of the Manager of the year award is John Madden of the Rays and Kirk Gibson of the Diamondbacks. Madden, who led the Rays to the AL wild card after coming back from about 9 games behind to get the wild card. How great is that. The Rays had lost Carl Crawford, Carlos Pena, Matt Garza, and Rafeal Soriano and still made the playoffs! On the other hand the Diamondbacks came from last in NL West to 1st in NL west. The Diamondbacks had previously lost 97 games the season before. Then made a huge turn around by guiding them to 94-68 this season. These awards deserved to both of these great manangers. Congragulations Kirk and John on winning the award.
Verlander wins in a landslide
Tigers Starting Pitcher Justin Verlander has unainmously wins the Al Cy Young award. Verlander showed what an ace really is in the MLB by winning the pitching triple crown version. Verlander was a beast in 2011 as he went 24-5, 250 strikeouts and 2.40 E.R.A. Now is Verlander going to win the AL MVP award. The Kansas City Royals have acquired pitcher Jonathan Sanchez and Ryan Verdugo from the San Fransisco Giants for Outfielder Melky Cabrera. Clearly this wasn't a good trade for both teams because Cabrera had an outstanding season, while Sanchez disappointed last season. However, the Royals pitching needed real help, as they were one of those teams, who were in the bottom of pitching last season. This trade will help both teams for next season. Good luck to both teams this offseason and next season.

La Russa retires
After 33 years of managing, Tony La Russa has finally retired. During the 33 year span, he is 3rd on the all-time list for win and he's won 3 world series titles. La Russa was not a great MLB hitter during his career, batting only .199 average. La Russa has won 2,728 wins during his managing career and has been a great manager. I think that La Russa is the 2nd best or even the best manager of all-time. He's one that you'll never forget and oyu probably won't see a manager go 33 seasons for a while.
Indians acquire Derek Lowe
The Clevland Indains have acquired pitcher Derek Lowe from the Atlanta Braves. The Indians traded for a minor leauge pitcher for Lowe. Lowe is a solid pitcher that will improve the Indians rotation. They had acquired Ubaldo Jimenez before, but he didn't turn out quite as they imagined. Acquiring Lowe will help the Indians more. They could win the division this year or at least comepete with the Tigers.
Cardinals win Series
The St. Louis Cardinals have beaten the Rangers to claim the World Series title. Led by world series MVP David Freese, the Cardinals defeated the Rangers in 7 games. The Cardinals offense came to life as they scored many runs. Freeze also set the record for most RBI in post season with 21. While the Rangers did put runs on the scoreboard, there pitching wasn't as efficent as we thought. First of all, the Cards won the series by coming back and winning the wild card. They were 10 games back from Atlanta and pulled it off to get wild card spot. Next they beat a tough Phillies team, featuring a great pitching staff led by Cole Hamels and Roy Halldady. Then the Cards beat the Brewers to advance to the series. What a season by the Cardinals. Congragulations everybody for a great season and the Cardinals for winning the world series.

Rams grab Llyod from Broncos
The St. Louis Rams have traded for WR Brandon Llyod from the Broncos for a 6th round draft pick. The winless Rams were in need of a game breaker and that's what Llyod is for, making great catches. I still can't believe the Broncos took a 6th rounder for Llyod. I was thinking 3rd, 4th rounder, but 6th, you've got to be kidding me. This addition will help the winless Rams a lot. Grabbing Llyod will help the Rams who are a terrible offensive team this season.
Radiers acquire Carson Palmer
The Oakland Raiders have acquired quarterback Carson Palmer from the Bengals for a 2012 1st rounder and 2013 second rounder. 2nd rounder could become first rounder if Raiders make AFC title game. Palmer won't be starting sunday but will probably play the next several weeks. After Palmer got traded, The Raiders and Palmer reconstructed his contract. Palmer who was supposed to make 12 million this season will make 7.44 million. This additon will make a big impact on the Raiders offense. Keep in mind that the Raiders lost QB Jason Campbell for the season.
Cards, Rangers advance
The Cardinals and Rangers have advanced to the World Series. These are two great teams who had strong finishes to make it here. The Rangers beat the Tigers, while the Cardinals defeated the Brewers. While the Rangers easily beat the Rangers 3 games to 1, the Tigers upsetted the Yankees 3 games to two. This has been a great first round of the playoffs. Now our next stop is round two.

what a wild finish
The St. Louis Cardinals and Tampa Bay Rays made strong finishes to clinch the wild card for Al and NL. While the Boston Red Sox and Atlanta Braves had held 9 and 10 game leads in the wild card race, the Rays and Cardinals finished off strong to clinch the wild card's in both leauges. The MLB finished with a major drop in runs scored because of the great pitching teams had. This was the lowest offensive production since Greg Maddux, Curt Schilling and Roger Clemons did great on the mound. This has been a great MLB season and now let's enjoy the playoffs.
Velez sets record
Dodgers infielder Eugenio Velez has set the MLB record with 46 at bats without a hit. This is something you don't want to accomplish. This is a disaster for him and lets hope he won't get to 50.

Too Many stars injured
Their were lots of key players injured in sunday's games. For example, the Rams lost two great offensive weapons in WR Danny Amendola and RB Steven Jackson. The Chargers lost kicker Nate Kaeding for the season as same for Eric Berry of the Chiefs and the Panthers lost LB Jon Beason for season. These injuries will hurt these teams a lot.

Patriots cut Meriweather, Tate
The New England Patriots have cut 2 time pro bowler Brandon Meriweather. This was a very surprising move by the Patriots, but it didnn't matter to them that they cut him. Another cut the Patriots made was WR/KR Brandon Tate. Tate was a great returner but it wasn't enough to be on the Patriots.
