Bucs Fire Greg Schiano
After 3 consecutive losing seasons, head coach Greg Schiano and general manager Mark Dominik have been fired. According to NFL Insider Adam Schefter, former Chicago Bears head coach Lovie Smith is the favorite to become the new Buccaneer head coach. Over the past 3 seasons, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have produced a mere 15-33 record. The Bucs defense has been an absolute mess ever since Jon Gruden has left this team. They have allowed an average of 425.6 points per season and have not ranked better than 16th in yards allowed or points per game allowed. Schiano has a 11-21 record in 2 seasons as the Bucs head coach and has had trouble loosining tension these past 2 seasons as the Bucs head coach. Follwoing a 6-4 start last season, Schiano had a tough time keeping his players grouped together, as they stumbled to a 5-17 record, in their last 22 games. Controversey between Schiano and Quarterback Josh Freeman earlier in the season, gave rookie Mike Glennon the opportunity to start for the remainder of the 2013 season, and could possibly be the Bucs future at quarterback. GM Mark Dominik acquired All-Pro Cornerback Darrelle Revis and signed Pro Bowl Saftey Dashon Goldson to boost a secondary that set the single season record for most passing yards allowed per game. Despite the addition of two pro bowl defensive backs, the Bucs secondary played very medicoure. Some poor moves and over-looking players talent cost Dominik's job. Tampa Bay is looking to get back on track, following three rough seasons.
