With 9 seconds left Alex Smith hit Vernon Davis for the game winning touchdown to end the Saints hopes in the playoffs. What a wild finish for this game. The 49ers became the first team in NFL history to score 2 lead changing touchdowns in final 3 minutes. First time playoff quarterback Alex Smith had a moment of his own during this game by throwing the game winning touchdown pass to Vernon Davis with 9 seconds left. Before that though Saints QB Drew Brees threw a 66 yard TD pass to TE Jimmy Graham to put New Orleans up 32-29. The 49ers deffense stepped up huge in this one forcing 5 turnovers that led to 5 TD. Although the Niners won, Saints RB Darren Sproles did catch a postseason record 15 passes. What a game this has been and for the Niners good luck against the G-Men.
Tom Brady tied a playoff record 6 TD passes as the Patriots smoked Denver to a 45-10 victory. Even the Patriots deffense came up huge in this game against Tebow mania. Coming in this game, the Patriots were one of the worst deffenses in all of football, but today they played like the best. Rob Gronkowski also tied a playoff record with 3 TD receptions in the win.
